Hannah McCoy

My name is Hannah McCoy and I am currently in the Communications and Media Arts program at Erie Community College. After I complete my Associate’s degree my goal is to transfer to a Bachelor's program in Communication and Media Arts. 

Within the Communications and Media field I am particularly interested in sports broadcasting, marketing, and blogging. I am hopeful that as I continue my education I will be able to decide on a focus. Most of my previous college education has been focused in mostly math and science, but then I discovered that STEM was not what I had a passion for. I have loved sports since I was a little girl. I believe sports can bring the most unlikely people together. I know that personally it has bonded me and my Dad in a way that I don't think anything else has or could have. That's why a career in sports would be a dream for me. 

I also have a love for travel. I want to be in nature as much as possible and be able to see all the different amazing things in this world. And I think being able to share those experiences with others would be amazing. Being able to see other younger people travel so much gave me the ability to see that you don't need to be rich to live your dreams and do things you never thought you could do. It would be an incredible job to be able to travel and educate others on the best places to go and things to do, and how to travel on a budget and not hold themselves back. By the age of 21 I had traveled to 5 different countries, and I think that those experiences have made me who I am, and I want to help others be able to have those same experiences.
